Black-Throated Blue Warbler 

The tame and trusting Black-Throated Blue Warbler loves peanut butter! Found in eastern North America especially in rhododendron thickets and coniferous forests, it has a deep blue-gray back with white underparts and a black throat. This realistic carving is 5.25 inches from beak to tail, 2.5 inches high with an overall height of 5.75 inches.

 All of our life-sized birds are carved from basswood (a very carveable wood that does not split and takes paint well), are hand-feathered and hand-painted. The eyes are glass, feet are metal and base is wood.

This bird is lovely, It looks very natural. In fact, of the bird models I have seen, these come closest to the real animals.
I would like to add that customer service is also great!

This bird was beautifully carved and painted. There was great attention to detail...so much so that it seemed to bring the wooden bird to life. A treasure!
