Wilsons Warbler
Wilson's Warbler
WILSON'S WARBLER has a wide nesting range from Alaska to Mexico and in the northern coniferous forests from the Pacific to the Atlantic. It gleans food from folige and catches insects in flight. The carving of this tame and inquisitive bird has olive-green upper parts and yellow underparts set off by a black cap. The carving measures 5 inches from beak to tip, 2 1/2 inches from head to foot and has an overall height of 4 3/4 inches.
All of our life-sized birds are carved from basswood (a very carveable wood that does not split and takes paint well), are hand-feathered and hand-painted. The eyes are glass, feet are metal and base is wood.
