YELLOW WARBLER

Found from the Atlantic to the Pacific coasts and from Canada to Mexico, the YELLOW WARBLER is an active and conspicuous bird with its overall yellowish coloration and red streakings on its underparts. It forages in bushes and shrubs feeding harmful leaf-eating caterpillars to its young. It builds a sturdy nest from grasses, moss, lichens and fur and binds it with spider's silk.  The warbler is mounted on a  coppery colored metal mount with leaves.  Absolutely beautiful!

The yellow warbler has an overall height of 8 inches including the stand.  All of our life-sized birds are carved from bass wood (a very carveable wood that does not split or check), hand-feathered to show detail and painted with acryllic paint. The eyes are glass, feet are metal and base is wood.
