Black-Capped Chickadee
The Black-Capped Chickadee is an all-time favorite with its black cap and bib, white cheeks and buffy sides. This acrobatic bird is found in woodland areas and is common to backyard bird feeders, where it dines on anything from suet and sunflower seeds to doughnuts and peanut butter. With patience, it will feed from your hand.
The Black-Capped Chickadee carving, mounted on a wooden tree stump, has captured the playful expression of the bird and is sure to please. All of our life-sized birds are carved from bass wood, are hand-feathered to show detail and painted with acryllic paint. The eyes are glass, feet are metal and base is wood.
The bird measures approximately 4.75 inches from beak to tail, is 2 inches high and has an overall height of 4 inches.
