Chestnut Sided Warbler on Weathered Wood
Description
Chestnut-Sided Warbler
The Chestnut-Sided Warbler is a perky little bird found in brushy thickets and old fields foraging for seeds, berries and caterpillars. A handsome bird, it has chestnut streaking on its sides, a yellow crown and black eye stripes.
All of our life-sized birds are hand-carved from basswood (a very carveable wood that does not split and takes paint well), hand-feathered to show detail and painted with acrylic paint. The eyes are glass, feet are metal and base is wood.
The chestnut-sided warbler measures 5 inches from head to tail and is 2.5 inches from head to foot. The piece has an overall height of 2.75 inches and a width of approximately 4 inches.
