Description

Chestnut-Sided Warbler

The Chestnut-Sided Warbler is a perky little bird found in brushy thickets and old fields foraging for seeds, berries and caterpillars.  A handsome bird, it has chestnut streaking on its sides, a yellow crown and lack eye stripes.

All of our life-sized birds are hand-carved from basswood (a very carveable wood that does not split and takes paint well), hand-feathered to show detail and painted with acrylic paint. The eyes are glass, feet are metal and base is wood.

The chestnut-sided warbler measures 5 inches from head to tail, is 3.75 inches from head to foot and the carving has an overall height of 7 inches.

I'm not really familiar with North American birds, but from a carving perspective I think it has nice detail. Very lifelike for the price.
